Every once in a while, it’s nice to take time out of your busy schedule and just sit and sew. Different groups through out the United States enjoy hosting a sewing retreat. Many sewing and embroidery enthusiast enjoy taking a few days off of their schedules and travel to a location, sometimes a historical location and other times a beautiful, scenic location and just work on a project or two with friends. The Reno, Nevada sewing groups are no exception. One of the groups I belong to, will be hosting a sewing event between April 6, 2015 and April 9, 2015 (Monday – Thursday). The ASG (American Sewing Guild) is a national organization with several chapters throughout the United States. The Reno chapter has been working on hosting Camp Sew-n-Sew. Since the local guild is a non-profit organization, I thought it would be nice to post their announcement here to help them get more interested people and maybe other ASG members who have not had the time to look at it or for those members in other chapters looking for a great getaway.
So, if you would like to spend a few wonderful days sewing and quilting while taking in the beauty of Lake Tahoe, then you would love to hear that Camp Sew-n-Sew will be held at Zephyr Cove Presbyterian Conference Center. It sits on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe and has a wonderful view.
Make sure you have plenty of projects to work on, or bring your lounge pants and relax and enjoy the beautiful views the area has to offer.
I have attached the form here in a PDF format. If you’re truly interested in this great escape, don’t hesitate. You too, can enjoy the thrill of finishing one of the ‘UFOs’ sitting in your sewing room or start a whole new project. Time is ticking!
