Topaz Quilting & Embroidery Update – 7/15/2016

Customer Submission – We Had To Share . . .

Once in awhile, we get a juicy tidbit from a customer and it’s too good to keep to ourselves. Today, is one of those days where I just have to share a website for machine embroidery designs. So I’m sure there are many of you, like myself, who needs just one more embroidery design. Not that I’ve done anything yet with the previous 600,000 that I purchased, but these are too cute to pass up. I want to thank our customer & dear friend,Kathy Platt, who showed us a brand new website for machine embroidery. Oh My Word !  OK, if you didn’t know it, I’m a sucker for cows. I love the black & white cows or even the brown & white cows. My kitchen has been decorated with cows for over 25 years now. I always have something new coming in and finding a place to squeeze them in has been like a puzzle over the last couple of years. When I saw Smart Needle at , I just had to breakdown and pickout some embroidery designs. I think my cart is now up to $6500.00. (I may need to weed a few out.) Seriously, there is so much on this site that I just want to have! I have linked the address above so you can head over and see for yourself…..  I’M SORRY !!! I am aiding and abetting in the delinquency of embroidery addicts!

Out With the Old….

Fabric has a shelf life. Some may not think so, but the truth is, fabric gets old,
faded and can start to deteriorate. We all have that private stash that took hours and money to build. On more than one occasion, I have finally figured out what I want to do with that fabric, only to pull it out and find it has fade lines, color distortions or worse, bug holes. We do everything we can to protect it and keep it like new, but we’re not always successful. Here at Topaz Quilting & Embroidery, we hate to see fabrics hanging around our shop. It takes up room that we could use for new fabrics that we can offer to you. It also makes the store look “OLD”. Having the same thing on the shelves year after year, just doesn’t inspire quilters & embroiders with new ideas. We’re asking for your help.
We’ve already had a couple of groups come in and pick through the old and obsolete fabrics in our store.  The Newcomers group has stopped by, picking fabric for the dog beds. We’ve had the Childhood Leukemia Quilt group from Las Vegas come by and pick up some of the fabrics to make quilts for the kids. However, we still have some left. It is in one yard cuts & fat quarters, but if you can use it in projects to be used to help out our local community, we’d love to have you swing by and pick up what we have as a donation. First come, first served and while supplies last. Call us before you come by to make sure we still have fabric to offer. We just want to find a good home and a wonderful group to put this fabric to good use.
We really appreciate your help!

Machine Repairs Available…

A long time friend of ours has been on his own for a while now, providing machine services for various quilt shops here in the area. George Smith has been repairing machines for several years now and has offered his services to Topaz Quilting & Embroidery customers. Starting July 25th, George will be happy to make arrangements with you to have your machine dropped off and picked up here at Topaz Quilting & Embroidery. When your machine is ready, he will leave it back here at our shop for you to pick up. If this sounds like something you want to take part in, please see our webpage HERE that will explain it all for you & how to contact George to get your repairs & cleaning started.
